I am always so blessed after I go to worship on Sunday mornings. The singing is great, the sharing of the Lord's Supper is meaningful and the preaching is outstanding. One of the best things about it, though, is the people I come in contact with. Roy and I normally attend morning worship, and then I go back for the 5:00 service to teach in the 1st grade class. The kids are awesome! I have 3 co-teachers and we have just become such good friends. Tonight, we made Christmas cards for missionaries and reviewed our past units - Creation through Jacob's dream. Our group varies from 8-20 each week, so we don't always know if we are getting the message to all the children. But, tonight, they wowed us! It is such a blessing to hear them tell YOU what they have learned. It reminds me of what an important job being a Sunday School Teacher really is. After our lesson, we had a little holiday party, complete with hot chocolate!
This was also my first Sunday to be an official employee of RHCC. I will be taking over Summer Walters job when she and her family move to Abilene later this month. I feel a bit inadequate, but I know God will bless the transition. I will be working as the Communications and Outreach Director for the Children's Ministry. It's a "part time" position (except during Summer Spectacular, etc!) and I will continue with my position at FWC Klubhouse doing after school care for the Pre-K.
As I left the building tonight, I felt so full. God had once again blessed my Sunday! Rick continued his "Extreme Makeover" series with a lesson on depression. His points were so good. (For more on that, go to www.RHChurch.org) My prayer for all during the holiday season is that we will rely on God more. He knows our every need. He's there on Sunday, and every other day of the week! May His blessings continue to be yours!

Mindy-
Don't feel inadequate. . . you're doing an amazing job already! I worried about you feeling overwhelmed with so much to learn at all one time, but you're taking it all in stride and even thinking of new things to do better! You are going to be such an asset to the team. And anytime you have a question, I'm just a phone call or an e-mail away.
Summer
P.S. I love the cookie swap pictures-- that looks like such a fun party!
