Well, I just don't post anymore. No one reads them and frankly, they must just not be that great, or worse...no one knows I post!
Look carefully at this photo and I am going to tell you a story...This is Logan Michael Tyndall, son of Mike and Shelly and brother to Jackson. He will be 1 year old in September. He couldn't be loved more and just brings joy to all he comes into contact with.
He and his brother, along with their parents, will set out tomorrow on a very long car trip, heading east from Belle Fourche South, Dakota to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mike's mom has a brother there that we will stay with on Sunday night. After we arrive on Sunday, we are hoping to enjoy some time together before we go on to Rochester on Monday.
You know how a 10 month old is...trusting, smiling, trying all kinds of new tricks. Logan is so very special - he has tried and succeeded at most that he has done. Logan was born last fall, and to everyone's surprise, had some serious bone issues in his feet and lower legs. For months, Shelly, his mom, has agonized about what she might have or might not have done. You know, Satan creeps up on even the most precious hearts. Through all the months, I have held on to a verse that I believe is pretty much God's mission statement to those who come into His kingdom..."never will I leave you, never will I forsake you. So say with confidence, THE LORD IS MY HELPER - I will not be afraid." Hebrews 13:5-6
We have prayed Logan's precious little body right to the Lord, begging Him to handle this and to also give us the strength to follow Logan's lead. Because, I just know that in the short future, he is going to be all over the place!
I am asking for your prayers also. There is nothing quite as sweet as praying over a child - their innocence tugs at the heartstrings as we carry their burdens to the Lord. Please cover Logan with your prayers, as well as Jackson, Mike and Shelly. And also, that they would have a sense of peace as they make the long trip back home, and a sense of confidence that they are able to handle whatever they are given. Please pray for the Lord to bless us all, especially Roy, with an extra measure of energy to be able to be with Mike when he needs him. His little old heart is struggling right now and he needs this time with Mike and his family.
Roy loves his grandsons - all 5 of them. I love how they call me grandma and are always happy to see us. I love how they love to sit and cuddle, go outside and play, watch movies, and so much more. We are blessed that Jack lives so close. We love that. But there is always a bittersweet place in our hearts for the 4 who live so far away.
My prayer for Mike and Shelly is that will feel the hand of God reach out and touch them in a powerful way. I pray that God will instill a peace on the doctors and staff at the Mayo Clinic, so that Logan will get the amazing care we know he will. I pray for Jackson, 4 years old, and his brother's BESTEST friend.
And pray for those who can't make the trip. Shelly's mom cannot go because Shelly's dad is in end-stage liver cancer and his sister was recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. We had no idea how we could possibly go, frankly because of money. Then we found CHEAP tickets and are good to go. (As long as the Northwest Flight Attendants don't walk out!)God is just so good - He knows so long before we do what we will need and how He will help us go about making it happen. Awesome!
Be blessed this day, and please...PRAY HARD!

I love your blog --- I miss it when you don't write. I will pray for Logan and his mommy and daddy, Jackson, and his sweet extended family. I know that you will be a blessing of encouragement to them. Write again soon. I feel connected when you do.
