Well, it is 9:45 pm...jackson is watching scooby doo for the 400th time, Roy is "resting", I am tired. Mike & Shelly are spending the night at the hospital and then, believe it or not, Logan will be released tomorrow to come over to the hotel and spend another night. We will all begin our long treks home on Friday morning...early.
I have been thinking of a "title" all day and decided on this one. God probably always grins a little when mindy tyndall is, once again, fearful. I do believe that this has cured that little problem. I have seen God in action all my life...beautiful weather, amazing storms, falling off horses way too many times, with no permanent damage, courtships, weddings, breakups, births, deaths...the list goes on. Today, He decided it was just time to GET IT DONE. Suzy Jeffrey must have made a decision to help Him in this area - and, well, the fear is gone. We even talked to Mike and Shelly about today in the baby's room, while he was still sedated. How Satan grabs hold us at our weakest times, as well as others, and shakes us til we're scared, building the sickness fear causes us far too much.
Logan's departure out of mommy and daddy's arms this morning was heartbreaking, but best. A little breakfast cured us and we were back up on 3C waiting for our angel boy #5. Jackson and I went out to a park where there are Canadian Honker Geese everywhere - that was shortlived. Then we found a park near the hospital and played there quite a while. Then another little check on logan and lunch in the cafeteria. Jackson was welcomed to come into the Child Life Area to play, do art, read etc.I think he realizes he is about as close as he can be to Logan in that room so wants to hang out there. Shelly and I had some great talking and sharing while the males were out of the room. She told me that her daddy is back in the hospital, in need of blood not doing well. Back to logan...logan has a Dallas Cowboy blue case from hip to foot (not appropriate in viking country!) It is casted at a 90 degree angle and will be quite uncomfortable, especialy on the ride home. Tomorrow we'll work on how to make it an easier trip. DR. Shaunessey spoke highly of the faith evident in this family - he pretty much predict the outcome when he sees that. This is where we come in friends. God gives the vessel of knowledge to those who would become doctors. He gives the opportunities for many people to work in healthcare - as far as i know he had not ended the baby-birthing era, he sends our paths that cross where he expects us to share our faith with others.
Pretty sure that the real answer to my quesion is that "yes, indeed, He is smiling!"
Logan's amputation included only removing the left foot above the ankle. As soon as it heals and the cast is removed, he will try to start walking -- and that is when they will fit his prothestic.
I was singing to logan as he was a little out and I chose Holy Lord, Most Holy Lord and he would look up smile and smack little kisses! Be still my heart.....
Thank you all for your prayers and willingness to approach the Father boldly on logan's behalf. I have been keeping a journal of things for shelly - she doesn't know it, but it will be full of copies of emails, blog entries, etc. She will be blessed by that. Right now, the unknown...in the days to come...total understanding and comfort.
Bless you my family and friends for opening up your hearts, blogs, emails, etc. to get this little story out! Hug your kids today! We are all so blessed!
You be blessed today!

Have been keeping up with Logan and whispering prayers heavenward. I hope his recovery is as amazing as his family's faith. I am sure it will be. Think of you often and still awed by all your talents. You are precious to my memories. Come see us.

I am so glad the surgery went well. What a precious family you have. I hope you all have a safe trip home and that Logan has a speedy recovery. Having Garrett I know how these little boys like to move. I hope Logan is moving quickly.
Love, Chesley
