One of my favorite stories as a child was the story of how Jesus went about and chose His disciples. Not many questions, few words needed, an "I'll be there" attitude, hard workers, faithful friends... Still is one of my favorites!
Today, I saw this story come to life. This morning, I got Jack up and we headed over to the "new" house to see Daddy. When I pulled up, I couldn't find a parking spot. Cars, trucks everywhere...people in every room, in the yard, upstairs, downstairs. Many of their friends came over and painted, cleaned up the yard (and I mean, it looks great!), did everything needed to get this house ready. After we went to see Christine, we stopped back by and there were MORE people there, everyone working so hard.
I had calls today to see when friends can come over to the "other" house to get it packed up. When can we bring meals? Can we do laundry? What about Jack...can we take him for an afternoon? There have been literally hundreds who have committed to praying us through this.
We are so blessed to have a precious caretaker for Jack during the day..."My Brenda" as Jack calls her...Emily McKillip's mom. She has taken care of Jack since Christine went to work last August, and has continued to take care of him now...the stability for him is a blessing. Tomorrow, the McKillips and the Bankes' are taking Jack along for a trip to the zoo. He is so excited! There is not a day that goes by without someone calling to see what can be done. While it is difficult for us to be away from Christine, we know she is being well cared for. Thank you for taking care of Matt and Jack. What a blessing it will be to Jack as he grows and remembers the day that daddy's and mommy's friends and family painted his house!
It must have been a thrill to all those men called by Jesus to follow Him. It is such a thrill for me to see these young families doing the very same thing.
God bless each of you...YOU are being Jesus to this family.

What a joy and privilege to be able to do anything to bless your family right now! Nobody enjoyed it more than those of us that got some time with a paintbrush this morning! What an adorable house!
Courtney...Christine told us that we could let you choose the boy's room colors - now, that is trust!!!
Thanks, precious friend...
Hugs
What a compliment! Bring on the paint chips! I'm itching to get back over there. I have this huge prayer for Christine to walk in and everything feel perfect where she can just sit in her beautiful house and rest. We have HUGE respect for Matt and what a great job he's doing with everything!
What a blessing friends are! The Pinsons are rich in Friends! We are continuing to pray for Tine. We all got together and prayed over Sam, Tine, Jack, and Matt this pass Thursday. Can't wait to see pics of the house. Their selections were fabulous!
Mindy, we are continuing to pray for your family, especially Matt and Christine. Your sweet story about all the people being at their house helping warmed my heart. Kathy just told me the same story just a few mins. ago. May God continue to bless your precious family. Linda Letz
Those are such sweet words, especially coming from someone who has "been Jesus" to me so many times!!
How precious is that! I just wish I was close enough to do something. It sounds like a version of Extreme Home Makeover! Only better. I can't wait to see pictures and even come visit. Our love to you all!
