Just got home from taking Jack to see Mommy and then going to see Daddy at the new house, where demolition is still taking place so it will be ready for the Contractor first thing in the morning.
Christine had a rough night last night, but seems a little better today. I think it will be a few more days.
Many of you have told me that you have been trying to call her and Matt, but the phones go to voice mail. They have been with "another network" and are switching to Cingular this week. Their phones from the "other network" are about worn out and will not hold a charge - their new phones start April 1 - same phone numbers. In the meantime, you can reach her by calling the hospital and asking for room 265.
We are all hopeful that things will improve enough this week for her to be able to come home, but if necessary, she will stay there. Some of her friends have offered to start packing up their house and we will be taking them up on that this week - they have to be out of the rent house by April 10.
So much is going on...I will continue to try to post daily to keep everyone up to date on the the latest. Each day that she is at home is a good day, but each day she is not in preterm labor is a GREAT day. So, for now, we will continue to ask the Father to bless her as He has been doing and give each of us an extra measure of strength to keep up the pace.
We are blessed by each of you who are praying for all of us, and by those of you who are offering help.
Also, wanted to give you an update on Roy...thanks for continuing to pray for him and his health issues. This is a struggle for him and just adds to the physical problems he has. He is and has always been a "hands-on" father and tries to take the shifts at the hospital on his days off. I am so thankful for that. And I am thankful for Ray, Matt's dad, who has been helping so much at the new house...he even went over yesterday and began working on the flower beds. Giggi and Mimi...well you know...
Our son, Brad, who recently withdrew at ACU and came home to try to help out with all this, has been a blessing - taking Jack to the hospital to see Christine and helping Matt out at the house.
All the friends who went over to the house on the opening day of demolition made it kind of a therapeutic activity - who knew a sledgehammer against old tile and cabinets could work out such frustration and stress!
And to our "Super Supper" Angels - WOW! You have blessed us beyond measure!
Be blessed today - we give thanks to God daily for each of you...
Pray hard!
