If you are a member of this country, no matter how you got here, and no matter if you are judged by your culture...HANG YOUR FLAG EVERY MEMORIAL DAY! Do you know why that is so important? Because for those of us who have loved ones who were there, and did come home, we know that there are so many whose loved ones returned in a body bag or are still MIA.

Find a group of friends or gather your family around and tell stories of people you knew who fought in any war, and how that affected your life. In years to come, the "good" stories won't be around...only all the politics that surrounds any military assignment. Bring some good food, find a place where you can wander free and see God's amazing creation and how so very blessed we are that we seem to be safe.

Now these are my favorite cuties...pre-Brad! Hanging out at the farm in the summer 1983, riding in the back of Uncle Ralph's old blue ford pickup!
Remembering is so much fun! Weren't they cute? Christine insisted that little sissy wear a hat because she was so bald and might get sunburn. Let the insult's begin!
Sweet sweet memories to anyone who reads this!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

What a good reminder! It is so sad and ungrateful of us that we ever have a veteran who feels unappreciated or a family who has lost a loved one who in any way feels we have forgotten. This weekend we were with a friend who recently returned safely, and we are so thrilled! We grieve for those who were not able to be with those they lost on this holiday weekend!
Yes, God bless America! And thanks to Roy, & our Dads & uncles & all those who served to protect our freedom. We take so much for granted! We have many blessings to count that we would never have known without those brave enough to fight. Love you, Kathy
