Emily has recently made some changes in her life and so she thought she would get a puppy - a little companion. Last Thursday, she said, "mom, I think I am going to get a puppy"...to which I replied, "we have plenty over here - come and get one." But, since ours are getting on up in the years, she decided she would just get a new one.
On Friday, she called and told me she was getting a Dorkie - a cross between a Dachshund (which is what we have) and a Yorkie. At first, I was a little frightened - why do people keep breeding these "weird" dogs? But as you can see, she is precious. Melissa Jo helped pick out her name and Jack thinks she is okay. Of course, Pappy is offering free babysitting. (She is pretty cute!)
Lily and Emily are enjoying each other's company...and that makes me SO happy!

CUTE!!! ALMOST makes me want a cute little Dorky, but then I see my 3 sweet ones running around like monkeys and I quickly change my mind. he!

Cam is living in Arlington, just started a new job there been a little lonely so he adopted a new dog tonight from a co-worker there...

What a cute new grandbaby. Now you have a granddaughter to go with all those grandsons! I might be a little partial to the ones with two legs, but she is a cutie. I hope her & Em have lots of fun. Whit has some plans for Emily that I need to fill you in on! Love ya!
