One of my very favorite stories in the Bible is the story of Noah. I love everything about this story. I love how Noah was the underdog, kind of. I love how he did what God told him to do, certainly at the expense of some friendships. I love how God used him to show His great power. I love rainbows!
But, my very favorite Noah is a little Noah. My sister, Donna, lives in another state, and has 5 fabulous kids! Her oldest, Bonnie, is the mommy of Noah. Bonnie was the first of 13 grandchildren, and those grandchildren's births span 24 years. Noah is great-granchild #2 and lives far too many miles away for Auntie Mindy to spoil him properly. Many of you have prayed for sweet Bonnie and Noah. I always love to open emails from my sister, because they usually contain photos of this cute little guy!

Told you he is cute!
Anyway, the other day, his mommy was getting ready to go to work and Noah got really quiet! Seems he was making a discovery in the laundry room. Here is what she found...

Seems Noah loves shoes, no matter whose they are! And..I'm a little jealous! I love those pink crocs!
It is so difficult to be separated by miles from those we love. Two sons who live in states across the country, a sister who lives farther than a day's drive, and a niece and her little Noah who live on the other side of America! I especially miss my Bonnie at this time of the year. The very first Christmas after she was born, we all came to Texas. She and I took some very long naps together on that old twin bed at Grannie's house and her smile just melted my heart. Noah's smile reminds me of that Christmas! I miss him...and love him and his mommy with all my heart!

This holiday season always reminds me of those simple things that bring so much joy...a child's laughter, "extra" family time, baking cookies...and eating them, and photos of those we love. These photos are some of those really wonderful simple joys that just make me so happy!
Be blessed...

That is one precious boy! I've been praying for a peaceful, joyous holiday season for your family! I miss seeing you guys!
It's about time you posted! Not like you've been busy or anything. Love the pictures of the sweet Noah I have heard so much about. Hope you get to love on him sometime over the hoidays. I hate having all of our loved ones scattered all over. There should be a rule about the radius family are allowed to move within. Love you!
......and i thought i knew what love looked like....what a gift he is, what a gift He gives to us.....donna
