Well, after I posted, there was another scare. Christine was re-admitted to the hospital on Sunday night with internal bleeding. Quick thinking and a wonderful doctor, and the grace of our God, helped to diagnose this quickly and treat it. Christine is now back home and we are just praising God for His intervention time and time again. I have watched her long journey with such grief - grief that she had to suffer so long, and grief as Emily and Brad had to deal with the grave issues their sister was facing, grief that Matt has had to watch his precious bride suffer so much, and grief that Jack was missing his mommy so much. On Sunday night, when Auntie Emily brought him to our house and tried to get him to go to bed, she told him that mommy was sick and they needed to pray for her. Her heart broke as Jack broke down into tears and cried and said "oh, no mommy...mommy's sick". He fell asleep snuggled up with Auntie around 2 AM.
But now, joy replaces that sadness. I know that God is blessing so many through the trials that Christine has faced and that He is so pleased at how she handled them. She has never lost faith, doubted God, or questioned Him in her suffering. She has just prayed for healing.
I am so thankful for all her precious friends, her Christian sisters, her devoted family and mostly for the God of all goodness. To all her friends and sisters and family...you have encouraged Christine so much, and I have been encouraged by your sweetness and love for her and her family. All of you who have called, visited, sent cards, prepared meals, and PRAYED without ceasing...may God bless you continually as you serve Him so graciously.
May His blessings be yours today!

You have all shown us a patience and faith that is humbling and inspiring. Thank you for allowing God to use all of your family to teach so many what it means to follow Him when it's difficult and hard to understand. It is time for all of you to rest! We are here for anything you need or want!
I am so glad Christine is home and feeling much better. I about lost it reading about Jack crying for his sick mommy! I am so glad he doesn't have a sick mommy anymore and Christine is recovering. I thought she looked great last night at the hospital! Thank you for sharing this trial and for letting us all pray and lift your family up to God. I will continue to pray His blessings on your family. :)
