You are invited...

I am inviting each of you to join Roy and I, Ray and Kathy, Emily, Brad, Kyle and Whitney, Matt, Christine and Jack...please join us at the the feet of our Father...

Christine is so sick. So many of you have been praying, but we are inviting you to a much deeper commitment...a commitment to pray without ceasing for our precious daughter, wife, sister, mommy, friend, shining example. She has been back in the hospital since last Friday and we thought that would be for only 24 hours. It is now Monday night and she is still there.

I have been searching for some words of encouragement and came upon a scripture in Job, one of my long-standing favorite books, that is a prayer that fits her so well, for what she is feeling at this very moment...
"...What did I do to deserve this? Did I ever hit anyone who was calling for help? Haven't I wept for those who live a hard life, been heartsick over the lot of the poor?...My stomach's in a constant churning, never settles down. Each day confronts me with more suffering." Job 30:20ff...The Message

We are all well aware of the plight of Job, but I thought this was an amazing scripture, one I had never read in this way. And then of course, God's answer...
"I lift my eyes to the hills...where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth" Psalm 121:1,2. If you have ever been blessed to see her sing, and live, you know Christine's eyes are always on the Father.

On Sunday night, at a very late hour, Ray, Kathy, Whitney and I had gathered around with Matt and Christine to pray a very loud and begging prayer to our God. Our sweet Jack was in the precious care of Pappy and Uncle Brad. The door opened and in walked my sweet precious boss, mentor, friend and sister Patty Weaver, her wonderful husband Wade, our new Singles Minister Cary Branscum and one of our very favorite people...Johnny Willbanks.

For an hour, prayer was POURED out, tears flowed...we all ached for our angel. As we were all gathered around, I held her hand, and the more prayers that were offered, the more relaxed her arm and hand became. After an amazing example of "prayer in action", Christine was able to relax and sleep for a few hours, Matt went home and got some well-deserved sleep and even though the "moms" lingered in prayer, we, too, got some rest.

At about 4:00 AM, Christine sat up and had a 5-hour episode of vomiting and extreme pain...the fear is that the stint that was placed in her liver may have clogged. But more that that, the pregnancy is taking its toll. She has a condition called hyper-emesis, and if you don't know what this is, Kathy will give you a website where you can read how serious and agonizing this is. This baby is strong. It is determined to hang in with it's mommy. And that is a blesssing.

But, for now, we just want her to be able to enjoy Jack, Matt, their life together, and their new home, that they closed on TODAY, IN THE HOSPITAL. Isn't that amazing? They have an unbelievable friend and agent, Micah Beck, who has been unceasing in his efforts to get this done, even getting the Title Agent to the hospital! God bless him...

Tonight, as I got ready to come home and sleep a little, there was a knock on the door and there stood Morton Jeffrey and Mike Bell, fearless elders and leaders at RHCC. They had come to share the Word and a time of prayer. I decided to go ahead and leave and let Matt and Christine be immersed in this outpouring of love. What an amazing example this is for us who dare to approach the throne with the desires of our hearts.

Just a few minutes after that, Giggy (that's Kathy) and Jack walked in and I know that will help Christine rest better tonight.

I know that Christine and Matt's friends and family have been praying and their offering of help has been unconditional. And we all appreciate that...more than you can know.

This is the request the Pinson and Tyndall families have of you...
If you come upon this post, please share it with anyone you can, wherever they may be. Ask them to join us in our request of the Father that Christine be granted rest from this weariness and that she and Matt both be blessed by the Father for their example of perseverance with grace. Please pray that this baby keeps growing and remains strong, and that Jack continues to be the precious little man that he is, praying for his mommy at the most amazing times...in the Target cart, at Chick-Fil-A, and in the bathtub.

Be blessed today....you bless each of us.

There is so much we wish we could say and do. But for now, we'll simply say that our thoughts and prayers are indeed with you. We send our love.

You may remember me from way back...(the first roommate) I happened to be thinking of Christine tonight and searched her, then looked on your link and saw that Christine has been sick. I want you to know that I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. I wish the best for her and her growing family. I will definately be praying for her to feel better very soon.

Our prayer for Christine is that God will heal her, our prayer for Matt is that he is comforted, and our prayer for Jack is that he will have some understanding of what is going on (even if that is only that God is taking care of Mommy). For the rest of the family we pray for the ability to be strong when Matt and Christine need it as they surely will. Please know that we are here to do whatever we can to help. May God bless you all with the rest that you so desperately need whenever that is possible.

I had this horrible disease with my first pregnancy. There are no words to describe how it robs someone of the joy of being pregnant. It wore me down in every way: physically, emotionally, even spiritually because I didn't know how God could allow me to be so sick for so long. There are excellent resources at www.helpher.org. (Hyperemesis Education & Research). My email address is deananallATgmail.com. Please contact me if you think I could help or encourage Christine in any way.

I'm still traumatized by what happened to me and my daughter is 8 years old now. I do want Christine to know that my baby was born perfectly healthy. She's in 2nd grade and reading on a 7th-grade level. There is hope -- just keep doing what you're doing -- loving her and praying.

I spoke w/ Mindy this evening and she asked me to post on her blog that the doctor's report today was that this is DEFINITELY pregnancy related and does NOT have to do with her liver. Praising God for a good report on her liver and BEGGING Him to relieve her from this sickness TODAY!!!

Mindy, I came across your blog last night from the comments in Mike's blog. I've been praying for you and your daughter. It must be as difficult for you to watch her suffer as it is for her to suffer so. Praying for her healing and for a happy, healthy baby.

I remember meeting Wade and Patty from Christian Ed conferences long ago. They are wonderful people, and I'm sure are a great support to your family.

really not sure how i came upon your blog. I went to ACU with Christine, and we barely knew each other, but I felt that I should post something here. I am glad I came upon your blog, however I was led to it. Your entire family (families) will be prayed for by some folks here in California. I hope there is plenty of rest tonight.
