He died here. And then they put him in a tomb. He rose and though no one saw it, I believe it.
I love Easter...I love everything about it. I love getting together with family, letting the kids hunt all the eggs filled with candy, dressing in our Sunday best. I love the ruffles, the white patent shoes...how Jack's eyes widened when he saw the "Easter Bunny" at the playscape last week!
But what I love most of all is knowing that Jesus is my Savior and that my God knew how important it was for Him to be born, to live on this earth, to die, and then to be raised to live forever. I love how God has "wired" us so that no matter where we are in our life, days like Easter reach into our souls and touch us and cause us to look to the cross. I grew up thinking that we shouldn't celebrate Easter as the time that Jesus went to the cross, the tomb and then rose - because we didn't "really know". But as I grew older, I came to believe that if there is a weekend where people who don't really even have a faith turn their eyes to the true "miracle of Easter", then that in itself is a reason to celebrate. God is stirring hearts!
Christine sang the song that is playing at church last Saturday night - I love it's Easter message!
Easter blessings to you...

Yea for a new blog! Someday I will follow suit! Love the song. We are so blessed by her gift. Hope you had a wonderful Easter. Didn't the boys look precious! Jack didn't want the day to end. As I loaded him in the car last night he kept saying "no, it's a sunny day!".
